{December Main Kit} - "A year to remember "

Supplies needed:

Basic tool kit

Xacto Knife

Floss

Sewing needle

Sand paper

Black ink

Red ink

Green ink

 

Ok..lets get started….{ at the end of the project…you will have a TON of extras…that was my main goal for this kit club…to be able to do a project and then have leftovers for other things like layouts cards….anther mini book. and so-on…}

 

Prep Work:

Take the insert pages (6 of them for a total of 12 front and back) and cover with the pattern paper… Once all the pages are covered and trimmed go ahead and either ink or sand your edges. You will need a total of 12 pictures…one for each month this past year…I chose my favorites….i know..i know there are SO many to choose from…I used one photo per page but you could totally crop your photos down to put more than one….:) ok READY….

 

Cover and back cover:

(Supplies needed: pattern paper of your choice, large blue rick rack, green letter stickers, transparency, one large chip board piece from BG pack, white paint, and the floral lace paper and green glitter)

  1. Take the album and adhere pattern paper 4 ½ x 6 ½ (I used the JB green book print) all the way up to the fabric part.
  2. Take the transparencies and trim up the branch part of it to fit over the pattern paper. Just lay the TP onto the patter paper.
  3. Take the wide blue Rick rack and adhere over the TP and the seam. This will keep the TP in place.
  4. Choose a BG chipboard piece (big enough for the title) and paint it white. Take the floral lace paper and adhere over the chip board. Trim to fit. (be careful this paper is high maintence).
  5. Using the green alpha stickers adhere the title “a year to” and place the chipboard onto the cover. Using the same stickers spell out “remember” at the bottom of the cover.
  6. Repeat step one for the back cover.
  7. Now open the book and trim two pieces of pattern paper to 4 ½ x 6 ½ and adhere just like step one.

Page1:

(Supplies needed: covered chipboard insert, scalloped flock paper, BG chipboard shape, blue crochet flower, large button, black chipboard alpha)

  1. Take covered insert and adhere scallop to one side. Trim off excess w/ xacto knife.
  2. Take photo and adhere to page. Take crochet flower and sew or glue dot a button to the center.
  3. Take BG chipboard piece and cover w/ lined paper. Use this to journal on. Punch holes in it to place in book.
  4. Take black chipboard alpha and adhere the letter “J” to the chipboard piece. (all these letters will represent the months)

Page 2: (backside of 1)

(Supplies needed: covered insert, chipboard crown, black label sticker, black alpha, index card, black rickrack, and black rhinestone swirl)

  1. Adhere photo to covered insert.
  2. Ink the crown a color of your choice, adhere that crown to the person in the photo.
  3. Adhere black label sticker to the lower right side of page. And then adhere the letter “f” to the label.
  4. Take index card and cover it with pattern paper. Once covered and the rickrack to the top of the card.
  5. Using the black swirl gems adhere some to the bottom of the card (as shown in photo).
  6. This is where you journal.

Page 3:

(Supplies needed: covered insert, chipboard birds, BG chipboard piece, small chipboard flower, button, and a piece of fabric.)

  1. Adhere photo to the covered insert.
  2. Take the 2 chipboard birds and cover with pattern paper. Using a small button and a gem adhere them to the birds to make the eyes.  Layer the birds onto the page (shown in photo.
  3. Take the black alpha and adhere the letter “M”.
  4. Take the same index card you just covered and turn it over. Use this side for this page. This will be a repeat process for the rest of the book. Take the BG chipboard piece and ink it a color of your choice. Adhere the chipboard flower to the corner.
  5. Using a snippet of fabric make a little tab and adhere the whole this to the index card.

Page 4: (backside of 3)

(Supplies needed: covered insert, index card, tissue paper flower, chandelier rub-on, black alpha)

  1. Adhere photo to covered insert.
  2. Take tissue paper flower and adhere it to the bottom of the page. Adhere the letter “A” to the center of the flower.
  3. Take index card and adhere chandelier to it.  JOURNAL…ink edges…

 

Page 5:

(Supplies needed: covered insert, red label sticker, 7gyp stamp, black alpha, backside of the index card, pattern paper, JB label sticker, clear jewel swirl)

  1. Adhere photo to the page.
  2. Take the label and adhere to the right side of page. Stamp onto the label and adhere the letter “M” to the label.
  3. Take the back side of the index card and cover with pattern paper. Take the JB label sticker and adhere to the card.
  4. Take the clear swirl gem and adhere to the bottom of the index card. Place the index card in-between page 4 & 5

Page 6: (backside of 5)

(Supplies needed: covered insert, flower lace paper, flower appliqués, index card, buttons)

  1. Take covered insert and trim the flower lace paper to 6x6 and adhere over the pattern paper. Adhere photo to page.
  2. Take the flower appliqués and adhere to the left side. Adhere buttons to the centers of the flowers.
  3. Take index card and adhere pattern paper to it. I cut out the bird from one of the pattern papers and adhered it to the top of the card. Place the crown on the bird.
  4. Ink edges.

Page 7:

(Supplies needed: covered insert, paper dollie, green stripe scallop circle, black flower appliqué, circle BG chipboard piece, white rub-ons, black alpha, to-do paper, index card, tulle, button, patter paper)

  1. Adhere photo to the insert.
  2. Take the doilies and fold in half. Take the green scalloped circle and fold in half. Place the folded green scallop and place it on the doilies. Take the black flower and adhere it to the green scallop.
  3. Place the whole dollie embellishment to the right side of the page. Ink the circle chipboard piece and adhere it to the flower. Adhere a rub-on of your choice to the circle. Adhere the letter “J” to the center tie w/ ribbon.
  4. Take the back side of the index card and adhere the to-do paper to the card.
  5. Cut 2 sizes of circles out of the tulle. Hand cut 2 more different size circles out of pattern paper and layer them all together to create a flower. Adhere a button in the center. Adhere the flower to the top side of the index card.  Place the index card in-between page 6 & 7.


Page8: (backside of 7)

(Supplies needed: covered insert, large photo corner, buttons, black alpha, index card, chipboard butterfly, butterfly note paper)

  1. Adhere photo corner to the photo. Adhere photo to the covered insert.  Place buttons on the swirls on the photo corner. Adhere the letter “A” to the photo.
  2. Take index card and cover with the butterfly note paper. Take butterfly chipboard piece and cover with ink. Place at the top of the index card.


Page 9:

(Supplies needed: covered insert, BG chipboard frame, fabric strips, button, black alpha, black note paper, paper lace border stickers)

  1. Adhere photo to the covered insert.
  2. Take BG chipboard frame (I used the thin one) and ink it. Te fabric or ribbon onto the frame. Place frame over a part of the photo to highlight it.
  3. Adhere button over the tied fabric and adhere the letter “S”.
  4. Take the backside of the index card and cover with the black lined paper. Adhere the paper lace border sticker to the top part. Adhere some buttons to the paper lace. Place in-between pages 8 & 9

Page 10: (backside of 9)

(Supplies needed: covered insert, BG chipboard piece, chipboard tiny heart, button, index card, red label stickers, star chipboard, black alpha, green letter stickers)

  1. Adhere photo the covered insert.
  2. Take the BG chipboard piece and ink it. Adhere your title to the piece. Adhere the heart to the chipboard and adhere a small button to the center of the heart.
  3. Adhere the letter “O” to the photo.
  4. Take index card and cover it with pattern paper. Take red label sticker and place them on the index card.

Page 11:

(Supplies needed: covered insert, black shaped paper, BG chipboard piece, buttons, hand stamped circle sticker, black alpha)

  1. Take covered insert and take a piece of the black floral shaped paper and adhere part of it to the right side. To create a border. Adhere photo to the page.
  2. Take a BG chipboard piece (I used the sort of fancy one) and trim it in half. Ink it. And adhere to the right side of the page. Adhere buttons to the piece and a hand stamped circle sticker. Adhere the letter “N” to the piece.
Take the backside of the index card and cover with pattern paper. Adhere a strip of ribbon to the bottom. Place in-between page 10 & 11

Page 12: (backside of 11)

(Supplies needed: covered insert, BG frame, fabric strip, small BG chipboard, JB journal card, a long BG chipboard piece, black swirl rub-ons)

  1. Adhere photo to the insert.
  2. Take BG frame and ink it. Adhere the swirl rub-ons around the frame. Tie a snippet of fabric to the frame. Adhere a small chipboard piece to the fabric. Adhere frame to photo.
  3. Take a long BG chipboard piece and ink it. Adhere JB journal card to it. Punch 2 holes and place it in the book.

 

Last step:

Take the fancy pants white lace and tie it to the binding of the book. Tie ribbon and fabric to the lace. I sewed some buttons onto the tied fabric….SO CUTE…and now your album is ready to set on your mantel…and remember 2007…….

 


You’re DONE…YIPPIE!!!! Now so you have a TONE of extras left don’t you…..I know I planned it that way…so each month you will always have a ton of leftovers to still play with because now that your in the creative mood…make a few layouts…or get some cards done and mailed off to friends…but most of all create something fun everyday…life is short….:)
