Supplies needed:

Sand paper

Xacto knife

Basic tool kit

Sharpie

Ok..lets get started….{ at the end of the project…you will have a TON of extras…that was my main goal for this kit club…to be able to do a project and then have leftovers for other things like layouts, cards….anther mini book. and so-on…}

{Prep Work}

Take your album and cover it front and back with the pattern paper. I used 6 pages you can use the whole book if you want. Now you are going to become best friends with your xacto knife. Once all the pages are covered and trimmed go ahead and either ink or sand your edges. For the cover I used two different pattern papers. Be sure to cut out the window portion of the cover it is a little tricky so if you have ANY problems just email me.

Cover & back cover:

{Supplies needed: covered house, die cut scalloped fabric paper, felt alphas, doo-dahs and a clear piece of transparency (not included)}

  1. Take covered house and adhere scallop pieces to the roof, so it looks like a house.
  2. Creating the shadow box.  Place one of the patterned tags on the back side of the window so you have a backing. Now in each square place something, I used an acorn, buttons, leaf and I cut out one of the houses on the fabric paper. Now place a 2x2 piece of clear transparency over the window…and yea you have a shadow box.
  3. Adhere a title of your choice. I used thankful….what I really wanted to do was have each one of my guest on thanksgiving write on the tag what they are thankful for and then I was going to take there picture and make the book that way…but thanksgiving is not here yet. I guess I will just have to do anther one. So instead it is what I am thankful for!

Last step:

Now, I did not like the rings…they felt so BIG for this cute little book, so I binded my book w/ the fabric strips provided in your kit….it just makes it feel like home…so stack it all together tags and all and tie away…once it is all ties (make sure not to tight or your book won’t open) place stick pin w/ small felt leave to the front, through the fabric. I think this book would make a darling recipe book…which I might have to do that one to…a vegan one…… it would be called the green house…. Ha ha ha …I hope you have FUN with this project…and enjoy and have a happy holiday…

You’re DONE…YIPPIE!!!! Now so you have a TONE of extras left don’t you…..I know I planned it that way…so each month you will always have a ton of leftovers to still play with because now that your in the creative mood…make a few layouts…or get some cards done and mailed off to friends…but most of all create something fun everyday…life is short….:)..Like some name tags for your feast…..
