{January Main kit} - "Goals"

Supplies needed:

Basic tool kit

Sanding paper

Index tabs (bought at an office supply store)

Ok..lets get started….{ at the end of the project…you will have a TON of extras…that was my main goal for this kit club…to be able to do a project and then have leftovers for other things like layouts cards….anther mini book. and so-on…}

Prep work:

Ok you have 10 inserts. You are going to take those inserts and cut them down…and what I mean by that is you want to cascade them…starting with the first insert cut off the edge at 2 ½ and then 3 and then 3 ½ and then 4, 4 ½, 5, 5 ½, 6, 6 ½ and the final one you DO NOT cut it is 7. Does that make sense? When you see the pics you will get it.. Now take your papers front and back and trim those down…to slide in the inserts. Now remember the some of the paper is double sided… and let me tell you it looks so pretty all together….**note all the “backsides are for journaling about your goals”

Cover and back cover:

(Supplies needed: album, pattern paper of your choice, chipboard alpha set, chipboard flowers, pearl, big green bling)

  1. Take pattern paper and trim two pieces to 6x9 adhere to both the front and back cover. You will have to trim it up a little bit I use a xacto knife. (my favorite)
  2. Taking anther piece of pattern paper trim it to 1 x 9 and adhere up at the top of the album on the cover.
  3. Now very carefully trim off about 1 ½ inches off the edge so you expose some of the inside. (See photo). I tried using my scallop trimmer…not so much…just use a straight cut.
  4. Take alphabet and adhere your title to the cover I did GOALS…but it is your book….
  5. Take chip flower and adhere it to the center of the cover and adhere a pearl to the flower.
  6. You can also adhere some gems to the alpha letters.
  7. Take a 1 ½ x 6 pattern paper and adhere it to the spine. You will have to trim it down…

ok YEA we are DONE….now let’s put it ALL together… ok what I did is I went out and bought a pack of self adhesive tabs. The only reason why was because when I did this project and cut all the inserts I did not realize they were TOP LOADING..Oops….so since all the pages are in the cover the little adhesive tab just keeps them in place….make sense..And remember this album cascades…a really cool thing to do with page protectors.

So put them all back on the rings and tie the album shut…Don’t forget to put lots of fun ribbon on the spine….anther thing I am going to do is in-between the pages make it like a journal…that should be fun….ok ENJOY….and have fun with all your leftover….as always……CREATE….

Michelle
